If you are wondering where the other topic went, I deleted it. Continued discussion of the volleyball court can be carried on here.

Keep everyone updated on the progress.

Why did yiu delete the pages on this topic?

I just found it this morning and planned on getting caught up on the "good word" after work.  So much for that....

All of the red sand for the bottom has been delivered and is almost all spread out.  The first load of white sand is being delivered sometime today between 5 and 7 and the next load tomorrow.  So the court will be alomst complete by tomorrow night besides the railroad ties which still need to be found.

I saw the picture of the volleyball court. It appears that it covers the entire backyard. Where are they supposed to practice rope pull?

They haven't practiced rope pull at the house for the past 2 years I think. We were trying to be more dedicated and secret like the AGRs. Not really, but it has seemed to work for them.

Drove to martin today and went by the house. VB Court looks great... 2 loads of white sand have been delivered and the court looks awesome. I also heard rumors of some lighting being installed. That would make it even better. They say that the court will be done by summer party (7/12)...maybe some other alumni will be in town....hope to see you guys there...

So the sand is spread out on one half of the court and it is starting to look great. Pictures are to come and we will keep all of you guys informed. The rumor about the lights is this. Ryan Smith's dad is coming up this weekend to put in some lights so the court will be properly lighted. so if you remember the old vball court it was very hard to see the ball...yea thats what she said...so we are trying toremedy the situation.

Yeah, something odd is going on with the scrapbook. I need to find some time to fix it. Just post them in here and I will copy them off to the scrapbook...thanks.

Alright, here is some new pics of the progress. We are gettin pretty close to finishing. Ryan Smith, his dad, and Dade Roberts are putting up lights right now. So all we really have left is level out the sand in the other side of the court and get some crossties.

Really I was being serious in that it's going to take some coin to move that thing.

You should not burn it where it is with a permit because you'll permanently mark the concrete permanently.  No one should burn ANYTHING on that property, something of that size especially.

The chapter can get a hand saw and cut it up and move it to the road. If they call the city, they will pick it up.
It's alot of work, but hell they were going to dig the whole volleyball court so whats the difference, lol.

No plans of burning it, dont worry. We are gonna borrow Dr. Knight's chainsaw and cut it up, then move it to the street for the city to deal with.

The volleyball court is now complete! Minus a day or two of cleanup  and layin crossties. We just played our first few games of volleyball and it's great to have it back. Didn't realize how much I missed it. I'll take a pic tomorrow and post it on here for all to see.

Great plan on the tree.  Make sure the IV sends that guy a thank you card for borrowing the chain saw.....seriously.

Congrats on completing the job.
