Homecoming is about 4 months out and we want to drum up some discussion about this year's event. Last year we had a good turn-out (well, better than previous year's) and wanted to see what interest we had in this year's. What did you like about last year? What didn't you like? What would you like to see this year?

Personally, from what I heard, the van was a huge hit. I've also heard suggestions to move the alumni cookout at the Capps to Saturday night instead of Friday (assuming that they will open their home again).

Let us know your thoughts!

Thanks,
Brandon Lewis

We had a great turnout last year and hope for an even better turnout this year. If you have alumni buddies who dont stay up to date on this stuff, invite them. Also, possibly talking to your pledge brothers, (assuming you still stay in touch), and invite them to come. The bigger the better!
Very nice, How much?

Dad mentioned this about a week or so ago. We are more than welcome to have the Alumni gathering again. The RSVP list helped out last year Lucky. However, My parents might be trying to sell their house but we can figure that out closer to time.

I've been meaning to e-mail you about this. I'm glad that we are welcome back. What do you think about having something earlier on Saturday instead of Friday night? I think we might draw a bigger crowd since some don't come in till Saturday. Then we can all go to the house for the party. We will use Facebook and Evite to build a better guest list. I think that will help out a lot.

I think everyone agrees that the van was a nice touch, so we will definitely do that again.

So has anything been planned further. Maybe we need to start the email correspondence.

I thought i would pass along this information to everyone ahead of time...as of tomorrow which is our first meeting of the year glass bottles will be banned on delta upsilon property until otherwise changed. This is due to the fact that both actives and alumni have a problem with breaking them. I guess shattered glass makes one feel more like a man. But safety reasons and the fact that broken glass makes things look even worse around the property has caused me to make this decision. I realize not all the alumni will be able to read this but if those of you who do can pass the word along and try to keep from bringing glass to homecoming it would be much appreciated. Also, we are ready to start planning when yall are just let us know what we need to do to help spread the word. We all look forward to another great homecoming year!  Oh and they are letting us tailgate in the endzone at the games again this year so im sure we will be doing that on saturday.

We banned glass several times when I was active. It only works as long as you enforce it because once it wasn't enforced strongly, brothers started bringing bottles again. We will spread the word.

The tailgaiting last year was an excellent idea. I don't think as many alumni knew about it, but we will make a bigger point to tell alumni them about it this year since we understand how it works ourselves.

What about a golf tournament again? I think only 1 person showed last year, but would you guys want to try that again?

whats up guys, I think a golf tourney would be an excellent idea. and a better way to get more people to come.

If we have one...I'm there. If we decide not to do one, I think i'll be less likely to go.

Hey Fish,

Here is the homecoming link.

As far as a golf tournament goes, the actives have not scheduled anything to my knowledge.

I think homecoming rolled pretty smooth this year. I got the opportunity to meet a lot of alumni and chat about the history of Delta Up and the future. Hopefully we can get you guys some sort of golf tourney set up next year, even if its an informal scramble or something. Actives vs. Alumni could be a possibility, what do you guys think?

Homecoming was pretty good. The alumni turnout was a bit bigger which is always good. Hopefully we can continue to grow it.

I'd like to see a golf tournament next year too. It could draw back some older alumni as well. Next year I will try to work with the active more to get some things going.
